WELCOME TO THE HIGHLAND ANIMAL SHELTER OFFICIAL SITE
As a true no kill facility we recieve no state or federal funding of any kind. We operate on donations, money from our fundraising events and from owner surrender fees. To let you, our benefactors decide how your money is spent at the shelter we have provided several target donation buttons on every page of this site. The general "donate" button located on the left banner denotes funds to be spent on food, utilities, and general day-to-day expenses to keep our shelter running. The "building fund" is for mortgage, insurance, upkeep and improvements and a much needed new heating and cooling system. Of course the "feline" and "canine" vet bill buttons let you target your donation to the species you are most partial to. A lot of our donator's target these funds to memorialize one of their late pets or loved ones.  He is the perfect companion dog. He likes to go for car rides, walks great on a leash, & he loves everybody. He would be wonderful for someone who wants their dog with them most of the time. She will require a quiet household with a patient family. She is very sweet, clean & quiet. She loves to be petted & loved on. A fenced yard would also be ideal. Of course, they are safe in our shelter, but help is needed with their vet bills and expensive medications.
